Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit Tag

Ok, I wasn't tagged for this award, but there's NO WAY IN MIDDLE-EARTH that I'm not doing it. This picture describes my feelings accurately well:

LotR Feelings
Also, this will definitely happen at some point. Two-day marathon, anyone?
LOTR spoilers abound, but don't worry, I'm steering clear of Hobbit spoilers. X) And if you haven't seen LOTR yet, GOOD GOSH what are you waiting for?!??

also, warning: there will be much screaming and gasping for air in this tag. you've been warned.

-Link back to the blogger who nominated you (lol wasn't nominated suckaaahhhh)
-Answer questions (well ok, this one I have to follow, that's a given)
-Tag some of your own fellow Tolkienknights! (psshhhh I never tag, I just throw questions into the ether and hope someone catches them)

1. How were you first introduced to LotR/TH and was it love at first sight/read?

You know, I was actually trying to think of this just today! I--no wait, that was Sherlock Holmes .... Anyway, I have no idea. I know I was young, but I don't know HOW young. I think we had them on VHS first, though .... maybe. Anyway, I'll say I was 9 or 10 when we first watched the Fellowship? GUH I don't know. I'm soooooooo bad with time and estimation and remembering. I just know that I was too young to fully grasp the storyline and all it's intricacies.
But whatever, because YES, it was love at first sight!! My brother and I LOVELOVELOVED the movies, we had plastic weapons and we'd use them to play Lord of the Rings with our friends (Ian even still has his little plastic toy replica of Aragorn's sword, complete with noisemaking buttons!), and we still have a big bucket of LOTR action figures. We have like three different Legolas's (Legoli?), and two of them are broken. Whoops.
*reminisces about all that* aahhh, good times. ^.^

2. If you could meet the actors who portray the characters in the movies, would you?

I don't swear. And I don't know if this counts as swearing. But HELL. YES. *tries to control breathing* Especially Richard Armitage, because he is one of my FAVORITE ACTORS IN THE WORLD I WILL WATCH ANYTHING HE'S IN.

*cough* um anyway, I'd also LOOOVE to meet Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch and Lee Pace and Christopher Lee and Viggo Mortensen and Luke Evans and Orlando Bloom and Ian Mckellen and Elijah Wood and Sean Bean and John Rhys-Davies and and and and *hyperventilates*

3. What is your favorite credit song from LotR/TH?

Ummmmmm credit song? Meh, I don't know. I just love the "classic LOTR" music. XD (if you were digging around hoping to get me to say Billy Boyd's song from the Battle of the Five Armies' credits, you struck out. It made me too sad).

I also love this:

4. The Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit - which is your favorite? *evil laugh* (And no, you don't actually have to decide. I'm merciful like that. *magnanimous smile*)

OMG. XD Well, despite my starry-eyed love for Richard Armitage, I'd have to say LOTR.
I don't know man. You just can't beat the classics. XD
Nostalgia > New Stuff, every time, sometimes.

Don't I make good sense? XD

5. Who is your favorite all-around character?

.....................probably Aragorn. He's just so COOL!! Also CALM AND COLLECTED and WISE and KIND and COMPASSIONATE and GENTLE but FIERCE and STRONG and DEDICATED and HUMBLE and stuff. :P Sorry to be a fangirl.

You're right, Aragorn. I'M NOT SORRY!! I'M NOT SORRY AT ALL!!!!

6. What is your opinion on Boromir?

*heartfelt sobbing* HE REDEEMED HIMSELF BY THE END, GUYS!!! HE MADE SOME MISTAKES BUT HE WAS JUST A MAN AND WANTED TO DO IT IN THE BEST INTEREST OF HIS PEOPLE AND HE REDEEMED HIMSELF BY GIVING HIS LIFE TO SAVE OTHERS and if you don't think that's the most heroic *bleep* you've ever heard then you can get out.

7. How many times have you watched the movies/read the books?

Weeeeelllllll I haven't actually, as you say, read the books .... except the Hobbit! Although, technically, I didn't read it, my dad read it to me and my brother when we were younger. It was awesome, though. :D As for the movies, I've probably seen all three LOTR movies like....7 times? And I've seen the first Hobbit like 3 times, and the second one twice, and the third one once. XD

8. What book is your favorite?
Well, since The Hobbit is the only one I've read.....The Hobbit. :)

9. Who is your favorite female character (other than your answer to question #5)?

Well, there's only like four to choose from. Right? Arwen, Eowyn, Galadriel, Tauriel? Am I missing one? I think just Rosie, Sam's wife. And she doesn't count, even though she's awesome for making Sam the happiest man alive. ;D Anyway, I'd have to say Eowyn. I mean c'mon, she stabbed the Witch King in the face. AND she has the most adorable love story ever, rivaling even, YES EVEN Aragorn and Arwen's love story. They are just TOO CUTE.

10. Who is your favorite male character (other than your answer to question #5)?

Thorin! And not just because of who plays him, shut up. He's EPIC. I also really love Faramir, and Bilbo, and Lord Elrond (just shut up, ok?!?). And OMG SAAAAAAAM!!!!!!!!11 Frodo would have been TOAST without Sam, in SO MANY situations!!! :O Sam is the unsung hero of EVERYTHING! I mean, sorry Frodo, but you're not making it to the mountain without Sam. XD

You're right on that, Frodo.

11. Which of the movies, in your opinion, has the best ending?

Mmmm gotta go with The Return of the King. Because everything's wrapped up! Evil is vanquished, happy endings abound, even though I cry like a baby EVERY. FREAKING. TIME that I watch Frodo say farewell. UGH *strangled crying noises* Aaand even though I'm super bummed that like all the elves except Legolas and Arwen left Middle Earth for the Grey Haven, or wherever the heck they went off to. The Undying Lands. That place. At least, that's my understanding, but I'm not a hardcore Tolkienknight, I haven't delved into everything. Or anything, really.

ANYWAY, yes, The Return of the King. It's so awesome, it gives you all the feels, and it stings a little, but it's mostly warm and sunshiny!

Did you hear that? That's the sound of my heart breaking AGAIN.

Well. That was a rollercoaster of emotion. Lord of the Rings just makes me so NOSTALGIC! And I do really, really regret the fact that there's like no elves left in Middle Earth now. You wanna know why there's no elves today? Because they all left to go to the Undying Lands, that's why. *ANGER AND SADNESS*

...............................I just love elves, ok?

As for the Hobbit movies, they ALSO make me nostalgic, mostly because they make me think of the LOTR and what's coming, but also because they take me back to Middle Earth and then go HAHAHAHA ITS NOT A REAL PLACE BUT EVEN IF IT WAS YOU'D NEED A TIME MACHINE TO GET HERE AND THOSE DON'T EXIST EITHER HAHAHAHA SUCKER!!

Or something like that. Ya know, it's really really hard to put my feeling for these movies into words. There's just so, soooo many feelings that I can't even interpret in my mind, much less put them into words. :P Oh well. Just one of life's many struggles, I guess. :)
